The Jewish Vote: 2016

Who should Orthodox Jews vote for in 2016? (If you are non-Jewish you may skip to the end of the article entitled Final Note.)

Trump, of course.

Throughout the article I will consistently reference the Republican and Democrat party platforms respectively. Although the importance and reliability of the party platform is up for debate, I do think it is an excellent indicator of where the base of the party is at, and a lesser indicator of where the candidate is at. Each candidate is the standard bearer for his party, and in turn he is a manifestation, to a great extent, of the will of the party.

Let us take a closer look:

For Orthodox Jews who wish to vote for a party and candidate that most closely aligns with the values set forth in the Torah (or the mainstream Orthodox interpretation thereof), the choice could not be clearer.

The Democrat party is the party of abortion. From the Democrat Platform (pg. 37) this year: “We will continue to oppose—and seek to overturn—federal and state laws and policies that impede a woman’s access to abortion, including by repealing the Hyde Amendment.” Significantly, if the Democrats get their way and repeal the Hyde Amendment, it would mean that you the taxpayer would have to pay for the abortion of Medicaid recipients. For those with Jewish values, that would be unconscionable. The Democrat party is also the party of gay marriage: (pg. 19) “Democrats applaud last year’s decision by the Supreme Court that recognized that LGBT people—like other Americans—have the right to marry the person they love.”

The Republican party is the party of life, which is why they write in the GOP platform (pg 13) that  “the unborn child has a fundamental right to life which cannot be infringed”. It is is the party of traditional marriage. “Traditional marriage and family, based on marriage  between one man and one woman, is the foundation for a free society and has for millennia been entrusted with rearing children and instilling cultural values.” This line (pg 11), from the GOP platform, cannot be improved upon.

The political manifestation of the Jewish people is obviously the State of Israel. The Democrat Party has evolved to become the party that is greatly hostile to the State of Israel. The Democrat party in very recent memory: partially boycotted Netanyahu’s speech, consistently voted against (or abstained from) various pro-Israel resolutions, and passed Obama’s Iran deal. It’s the party that contains within its ranks an anti-Zionist wing complete with libelous anti-Israel propaganda, and anti-Israel BDS.

The Republican party has evolved into being stridently pro-Israel. To wit (again from the GOP platform): “Therefore, support for Israel is an expression of Americanism, and it is the responsibility of our government to advance policies that reflect Americans’ strong desire for a relationship with no daylight between America and Israel.” The Republican party even has, within its ranks, a wing that is in favor of expansionary Israeli settlement policy in Judea and Samaria (West Bank). (There is some evidence to suggest Trump is in agreement with this philosophy.) The Neoconservative wing of the Republican party is in favor of the US using military might to unilaterally destroy Iran’s nuclear project. (Trump has not spoken of attacking Iran militarily in such terms, but his stark opposition to the Iran Deal and his hatred for the State of Iran is plain for all to see.)

Importing Muslims

The Democrat party has become the party of third-world and Muslim immigration. Millions of Muslims have been brought into the US as immigrants and refugees. The Democrats are unworried about the risks that have accompanied that massive influx of peoples, and indeed want to dramatically increase the Muslim refugees that the US brings in. (pg 42) “We reject Donald Trump’s vilification of Muslims… the vast majority of Muslims believe in a future
of peace and tolerance.” Pew would disagree with such statements about the vast majority of Muslims.

It is true that the Republican party must be reprimanded for its past inexcusable apathy on the subject of Muslim immigration to the US. But currently, under the tutelage of Trump, the Republican party has become opposed to unfettered immigration from Muslim Countries. The arithmetic is simple. The evidence would suggest that Muslims (to a very great extent) hate Jews. An increasing number of anti-Jewish hate crimes are committed by Muslims. Bringing in more Jew-hating Muslims into the US is not good for the Jews.

Final note

Despite all of the above, I believe Americans should vote for what is good for America. America first! But this article for a Jewish site, so I tried to appeal directly to them, in order to convince them to vote for Trump. But let me pen a few words as to why Americans must vote for Trump as Americans.

Western Civilization is in mortal danger. There are many reasons for this, and we won’t go too into this fascinatingly morbid subject. In many ways the West is busy throwing wood on to its own funeral pyre. But the crux of the matter is simple as it is unavoidable. Europe is turning into the Middle East. Muslims are pouring in and having many children who in turn have many children, all the way to the end. Fundamentally, the reason why Europe (a successful place where I would want to reside) is not the Middle East (an unsuccessful place where I would not want to reside) is because it is not comprised of Middle Easterners. As Europe is increasingly becoming comprised of Middle Easterners, it is becoming the Middle East. This is tragic, and reversible. But honestly, it will not be reversed. It is basically inevitable. The US must make a concerted effort to prevent this from happening in the US. This monumentally important effort to save the US might take place under Trump and his fellow Republicans. Not so with Hillary and her Democrats. Democrats know that the Muslims they will import will reliably vote Democrat, not to mention the moral satisfaction it gives them to bring in precious, wonderfully innocent Muslims whom they consider to have nothing to do with Islamic terrorism. (After all, Hillary famously wrote in a tweet: “Let’s be clear: Islam is not our adversary. Muslims are peaceful and tolerant people and have nothing whatsoever to do with terrorism.”) Democrats will continue to plant the seeds of US destruction. We cannot let that happen.

Vote for Trump!

  1. Donald Trump is a racist, a bigot, a demagogue, a xenophobe, a narcissist and a liar. Apart from that, he is a great guy.

    1. Donald Trump is not a racist or a bigot. Every politician in modern times is somwhat a liar and a demagogue and usually a narcissist as well. Hillary is not free of those particular vices. Every single president ever elected in the US has been a xenophobe, by dint of the fact the US has been perpetually at odds with or at war with some foreign country or other.

  2. lesser of two evils would be Hillary. Trump is a menace to the world and has enthusiastic support from the most vile bigots and anti-semites. That would be enough to disqualify him for me, let alone the terrifying idea of his finger on the nuclear button.

    1. I am not afraid of nuclear war. MAD will protect us. I’m afraid of what Hillary will do to our social classes and financial system. PC culture and liberalism is going to be the downfall of this country and it has already begun. With Hillary as president America will not be that far removed from a socialist state. 4 years of Hillary will equal people marrying their pets and anyone who actually works to make money sebding direct deposits to those who don’t work or have any money…

  3. I don’t even know how I ended up here, but I thought this post was good.

I don’t know who you are but definitely you’re going
to a famous blogger if you are not already 😉 Cheers!
